Kayole Center is located in a Nairobi, Kenya community with a high level of HIV/AIDS prevalence. We officially started our partnership at the Kayole Center in 2021 in partnership with Redeemed Gospel Church.

Client Profiles

Sharon, 2021 CLIENT

Sharon is a 30-year-old mother of two who was separated from her children because of her status. She joined the CARE for AIDS program when she had lost her job and her hope. During her time in the program, Sharon learned donut baking and took it on as a skill. She started baking donuts and selling them to teachers in one of the public schools.

Baking and selling donuts became a source of income to Sharon until COVID-19 school closures brought everything to a standstill. But Sharon never stopped. She launched a small cafeteria where she sells tea and donuts. Because of the skill that she learned in the program, she can now pay her rent and have food on the table for her two children. She thanks God and CARE for AIDS for the support that has brought her this far.
